Our family has decided to embark on an adventure that combines our fascination with the painted rock movement with our love for all things Disney. We have set 10 Disney-themed painted rocks on a road trip to the happiest place on earth. They will all start from different locations around the United States (and internationally soon) and make their way to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Me and the rock enjoying some down time after hitting the parks all day. We still can not find Minnie. We are rethinking our strategy and refuling our batteries. Its raining out and a bit cold, good thing we have a nice fire to keep us warm at our campsite. Our trip is ending soon, while we made it to disney, we have to achive our goal. Its ok if we dont though. I was upset, but then the rock and me got talking. We did have a great time getting to where we wanted to go, Sometimes life is about the journey towards a goal, and when you have a journey like that, the goal is less important. We are still optomistic..

Ok, so we were all sleeping last night, or tying to. We kept getting woke up by noise outside. So i decided to get out of bed and see what was going on. Sure enough our rock had found a freind. They were sitting outside. Who knew when 2 rocks get together they form a band? I am learning much on this trip!

I am always learning especially about rock culture. We went to the laundry mat today to do clothes. The rock had a ton of stuff to wash.

We walked over to the gift shop today and I was surprised that the rock had some new bling. Apperently some rocks are more valuable then others.

But first we decorate, we just missed halloween, and Christmas is coming up. We wanted to do haloween, but the rock came up with this idea to do both. I Like it , sometimes that rock has got it going on.

Ok i was too quick to criticize the rocks map skills. The rock was quick with a sharpie to draw out a line to our campsite at enfield rocky mount koa.  It was an almost 500 mile first leg of the trip. So we took another cue from our new friend and we slept like rocks all night long!

Ok, so the rock said it was a good navigator. So I said ok, were going to the fort. 15 minutes after we left my house we arrived at Fort Momouth.
New Jersey . I was starting to think there was a bit of magnitized metal mixed in with the rock, its throwing its direction off! This was my fault, as I didnt specifically say , Disneys Fort Wilderness. Oh , well. We hit the maps and figured out a plan. Unfortunately it dosen’t look like the rock has ever read a map before. I better rethink this idea……..1100 miles to go. ( if you look closely the map is upside down! )

The rock settled in nicely in the back seat of the truck , I didnt even have to tell it to put on its seatbelt. But when i looked back , it had on a pin satchel. I didnt know rocks had so much baggage with them. Maybe thats why there heavy?

Ok, so were packing up the car and headed for disney! Somehow we came across this rock that wanted to hitch a ride. We usally dont pick up strangers, but we made an exception. I think we made the correct choice.
